A Simple, Legal 3-Step Process
Your Path to Medical Cannabis in Rhode Island
Step 1: Schedule Your Appointment
You can book an appointment with a New York State-registered medical cannabis practitioner through HealifyNowMMJCards at a time that works best for you. Simply provide your basic medical information and choose your preferred appointment time. Our flexible scheduling includes telehealth options for your convenience.
Step 2: Complete Your Evaluation
During your evaluation, the registered practitioner will review your medical history and current conditions, determine if you meet New York’s qualifying criteria, and answer any questions about medical cannabis therapy. If you qualify, the doctor will complete your Medical Cannabis Certification and provide you with your Patient ID number, which will be sent to you via email.
Step 3: Register with the State
Once your evaluation is complete and you receive your certification, you’ll need to register with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Medical Marijuana Program. You’ll create an account on the NYSDOH Cannabis Patient Registry and enter your certification information along with a valid government-issued ID or driver’s license.

New York State has permanently waived the $50 patient registration fee—registration is now completely free.
For New York residents without a standard ID, alternative forms of proof of residency are available. Contact the NYSDOH for guidance on acceptable documentation.
