How to Get Your Missouri Medical Marijuana Card
Step 1: Schedule Your Appointment
Start by scheduling a consultation with one of our state-licensed Missouri physicians. We offer telehealth appointments statewide, allowing you to get evaluated from the privacy of your home in just minutes.
Before your visit, you’ll complete a short intake form about your health history and symptoms to help your doctor determine if medical cannabis is a suitable option for you.
Step 2: Complete Your Evaluation
During your appointment, your physician will review your symptoms, discuss your treatment goals, and determine whether you qualify under Missouri’s medical marijuana laws.
If approved, your doctor will issue a Physician Certification Form (valid for 30 days), confirming your eligibility for a medical marijuana card. You’ll then use this certification to register with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS).
Step 3: Register with the State
After receiving your physician certification, complete your registration through the Missouri Medical Marijuana Program Portal by submitting your signed Physician Certification Form, a valid Missouri driver’s license or state ID, proof of residency, a digital photo, and the $25 state application fee. Once your application is approved, the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) will email you a digital medical marijuana card, which you can print or display on your phone when visiting licensed dispensaries. Your card remains valid for one year, and HealifyNowMMJCards provides easy renewal reminders to help you maintain uninterrupted access to your certification and medical treatment.
Missouri Medical Marijuana Program Highlights
Patients 18 years and older may apply; minors can qualify with a parent or guardian caregiver.
Certified patients can purchase up to 6 ounces of usable cannabis per month from licensed dispensaries.
Patients or caregivers may also apply for cultivation permits to grow up to six flowering plants for personal medical use.
Medical cardholders enjoy legal protection under Missouri law when possessing and using medical cannabis.
